Evaluating the challenges and opportunities in a carbon constrained world
New Build Europe 2009 took place on 30 June and 1 July 2009 in Munich, Germany.
It was the third in the Modern Power Systems series of conferences exploring the role of new fossil generation in the fuel mix and the only conference dedicated to the new build of fossil fuelled power. The Conference was designed to analyse the critical issues that surround key projects under construction and planned for the future. Other themes that were addressed at this 2009 conference were repowering schemes, advanced combined cycle technologies, clean coal and carbon capture readiness and recent European policy developments.
EPPSA participated with a presentation by Secretary General Patrick Clerens on the European Union's Energy and Climate Change Package.
