In the last four decades Fluor has provided services on 40 solid-fuelled plants helping its clients add over 18,500 MW of power.Gas-Fired / IGCC:
Fluor has installed more than 300 gas fired units at 160 plants worldwide, ranging from 49MW to 1760MW. The company’s experience includes simple-cycle, combined-cycle and cogeneration applications in practically all configurations and climates. Fluor engineers work with all major gas and steam turbine suppliers and heat recovery steam generator manufacturers.Renewable:
Fluor’s experience with renewable energy encompasses the full spectrum of solutions, from solar and wind, to biomass and geothermal. We offer the full range of services to bring projects from conceptual design to final completion. Fluor is currently executing EPC activities for the balance of plant for the world’s largest offshore wind farm. The landmark Greater Gabbard Wind Farm, currently being constructed off the East coast of England, will produce 504 MW of electricity.
Nuclear:
For the past 60 years, Fluor has provided EPC and maintenance services to the nuclear industry. In the U.S., Fluor designed three nuclear power plants, constructed ten nuclear power plants and supported construction on another ten nuclear units during the 1970s and 1980s. Fluor expanded its services in the
1990s at many of the operating commercial nuclear plants by providing major capital modification and maintenance services with more than 90 million hours worked.Air Quality Control:
From conceptual studies to full turnkey projects for major plant upgrades, Fluor delivers solutions to clients who need to improve plant performance and comply with clean-air regulations. Our extensive experience covers SCRs, FGDs and Electrostatic Precipitators. Fluor is also able to offer a proprietary technology for the capture of CO2 from flue gas. Our Econamine FG PlusSM technology is licensed in over 25 plants worldwide.
